FORESTHILL OHV PARK
Smaller, less developed campgrounds are found at Robinson Flat and Talbot, on the western boundary of the Granite Chief wilderness. In addition, the Foresthill OHV (off-highway vehicle) trail system includes over 100 miles of unpaved roads and dedicated OHV trails to appeal to motorcyclists and quad enthusiasts. Outstanding fishing opportunities exist in the reservoirs and streams that drain the Foresthill Divide. Foresthill is also the site of the Placer Big Trees grove, the northernmost natural grove of Giant Sequoia (sequoiadendron giganteum), and is the western gateway to the Granite Chief wilderness. Several trailheads along the Foresthill Divide road provide the primary access to the North Fork American Wild River.
